Under this pillar, the RenOnBill consortium develops a methodology to structure the demand for building renovation services and to rate corresponding investment projects. The project rating methodology is based on the evaluation of three aspects: engineering performance, financial performance, and final user solidity analysis. The open-source Energy Renovations Valuation Tool (ERV-Tool), that will be the main outcome result of this pillar and to be developed in direct collaboration with partner utilities as target users, will provide a standardised and transparent instrument to perform evaluations of building energy renovation projects across their vast customer base and at large scale.
The tool development pillar also includes the development of OBS business models to be implemented by partner utilities in their respective markets, or by energy utilities in the stakeholder network.
