The Energy Efficiency Finance Institutions Group (EEFIG) will present results from last year and look at the contribution sustainable energy finance can make to the 2030 EU energy & climate targets. The event will be organized online and will be open to the public.
The event will feature keynote speeches from Ms. Ditte Juul Jørgensen, the Director-General for Energy at the European Commission, and Mr. Thomas Östros, Vice-president of the European Investment Bank (EIB). More than 20 EEFIG members will participate in the discussions on the results achieved to date and in drawing up the next steps for the expert platform on sustainable energy finance for supporting the 2030 EU energy & climate targets.
More about EEFIG: In 2013 the European Commission‘s DG Energy and the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) established EEFIG as an open dialogue and work platform for public and private financial institutions, industry representatives, and sector experts to identify the barriers to the long-term financing for energy efficiency as well as to propose policy and market solutions. EEFIG has engaged more than 120 active members from about 100 organisations throughout the EU.
